Identification

Please note, anyone in the venue after 8pm will need a valid form of ID. We have security checking these upon entry.

We accept, valid International & New Zealand passports, current New Zealand driver licence, Hospitality NZ 18+ Card - (New 18+ Cards are no longer available but existing 18+ Cards continue to be valid ID for 10 years from the date of issue) and Kiwi Access Cards - (This new Hospitality NZ card replaces the 18+ Card and is available for both NZ nationals and foreign visitors).

Please note, if you wish to purchase alcohol or be in a licensed area of our venues you will need to have a valid form of ID. You will also need a valid ID to enter or be in our venues after 8pm. If you are acting as a responsible adult you will also need to have your ID on you. If you are over 18 bring your ID along to make sure you aren’t disappointed.

Minors

Please note that Holey Moley Viaduct and Christchurch do not allow minors and under 18's in venue after 7pm Monday - Sunday. While unaccompanied minors and under 18’s are permitted at Holey Moley Viaduct until 7pm, we request that pre-teens and younger children are accompanied by a responsible adult.

Responsible Adult

A responsible adult is defined as a person who is over the age of 25 years and is:

  • a parent, step-parent or guardian of the minor
  • the minor’s spouse or de facto partner
  • an adult who has 'parental rights, duties and responsibilities' in relation to the minor for the time being, standing in as the parent of the minor e.g. Grandparents, aunt/uncle, or person in charge of an organised sporting group or school group.

They must also have a valid ID on their person for the duration of the visit.

General Entertainment

  • Discrimnation or violence of any kind will not be tolerated when in our venue.
  • Inappropriate behaviour, disorderly conduct, aggression, intoxication, or other disruptive behaviour, may result in refusal of service, refusal of entry or being ejected from the venue.
  • When in the venue, all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Children under the age of 13 are only allowed in the venue, with a responsible adult. Curfews apply and liquor laws for minors come into play.
  • Children can complete all activities in our venues at the discretion of their responsible Parent or Guardian. However, a parent or guardian could be required to accompany, supervise or assist with play.
  • No running, climbing, or tom foolery in the venue. We want all of our guests to have fun and enjoy the space. Be respectful and treat others the way you would like to be treated.
  • Guests need to comply with relevant state laws & guidelines for the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  • No external food or drink is allowed in the venue, excluding the service of a birthday cake subject to individual venue policy. Check the FAQs at the bottom of your location page.
  • Guests need to follow the direction of the staff in the venue. Failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave.
  • If you are running late to a booking, we cannot guarantee you will be able to finish your bookied activity and may have it finished early, or rescheduled.
  • Our venues look great and we often want to share it on our socials. Any photographs, videos, recordings or other media taken in the venue must be for personal use only. If you want to use or produce for commercial purposes it must be with prior written permission from the Funlab team.

Activity Rules

MINI GOLF

  • When on the course and playing; six shots per person per hole. Any more and you are embarrassing yourself anyhow.
  • If your ball is stuck against a wall or object, you can shuffle it a putter head away.
  • Wait until your mate finishes their turn before starting yours. Manners, please.
  • Out of bounds? Back to the start!
  • We know drinking is fun, but sometimes people get carried away. if you are being too rowdy, you will be asked to leave.
  • Do not swing your putter. keep it low! It's mini golf, not the driving range.
  • Do not take your putter to the bathrooms, nobody needs a wet putter!
  • Putters should only touch golf balls. Please do not use your golf club to hit props, people or other things.
  • Please do not hit the ball when it rebounds, please wait for it to stop moving before playing on.
  • Please do not climb on anything, you are not a mountain goat.
  • Don’t punch your friends, or anyone really. Need we explain?

KARAOKE

  • A credit card MUST be provided and held for the duration of the karaoke experience to cover incidentals (props, equipment).
  • No Mic drops! Guests are responsible for any damages in the Karaoke room, including equipment and furniture.
  • We accept no responsibility for any personal property that is brought to the venue.

Fair Play Policy

A fair play policy applies for any promotion where an unlimited play component is offered. It makes sure all patrons get a fair attempt at the activities. Further details about each offer can be found on promotional material in the venue and from venue staff. Available for walk-in customers only.

The Policy:

Golf – 1 game guaranteed, then subject to availability (there might be a wait between games)

Unlimited promotions are only valid on the day of purchase.

All offers are subject to varying finish times - please clarify with staff at time of purchase.
